The digital and smart transformation of mobility is redefining how people move, connect, and access opportunities in cities. Yet, ensuring that these innovations are inclusive, equitable, and accessible remains a key challenge. This session examines how inclusive design principles, citizen co-creation, and accessibility-driven innovation can reshape urban mobility systems — from public transport and active travel to the planning of 15-minute neighbourhoods. Bringing together a panel of innovative shared mobility service providers, experts in inclusivity and urban planning, and public authorities, the discussion will deep dive into practical solutions for integrating social and spatial inclusion in the planning, development, deployment, and scaling of mobility solutions. Real-world examples will illustrate how inclusive-by-design strategies contribute to smarter, fairer, and more sustainable urban mobility. The session will conclude with a set of guiding principles for inclusive-by-design mobility for all, drawn from best practices shared by both the panel and the audience.
