This session explores how intelligent systems, including artificial intelligence, automation, and digitalization, are enhancing safety, resilience, and sustainability across multimodal transport systems. From a public sector perspective, it highlights Türkiye’s first pilot Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems project deployed in Istanbul, demonstrating how real-time vehicle-to-everything communication supports safer and more resilient road transport.
The session also addresses advances in railway signaling for operational safety and automation, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in aviation, particularly in air traffic management. By bringing together road, rail, and aviation perspectives, the session provides an integrated view of how intelligent systems can support safer, more resilient, and future-ready transport networks.
