This session explores the role of European Digital Infrastructure Consortia (EDIC) in strengthening mobility data spaces and enabling the advancement of New Mobility Services (NMS) across Europe. It will examine how EDIC initiatives contribute to the development and governance of interoperable data infrastructures that support data-driven approaches across the urban mobility ecosystem—including NMS, Galileo (satellite navigation system)-enabled smart tourism, urban logistics, and both public and private passenger mobility. Speakers will present the current state of play and progress in establishing mobility data spaces through EDIC-supported collaboration, highlighting policy perspectives, governance models, and examples of public–private cooperation. The discussion will focus on how shared data infrastructures can facilitate the integration and effective use of mobility data to enable smarter, more connected NMS, ultimately optimising the ownership and use of diverse mobility resources for the benefit of entire urban communities.
