Special Interest Session
Smarter mobility through smarter data, accelerating public & private collaboration: a fast-paced session showcasing how Europe’s public and private leaders are raising data quality and transforming traffic information for all road users. Public and private partners across Europe are accelerating collaboration to deliver more accurate, consistent and real-time traffic information to road users. This session highlights the latest developments in public-private collaboration through the new CEF-project TISGRADE, the RTTI Taskforce and gives examples of how this collaboration can improve information on f.i. roadworks and reduces the societal impact of navigation services by the digitization of traffic circulation plans. Leading innovators will pitch, including Google, NDW, HERE and Austriatech. Join us to explore what’s needed to take the next big step towards a truly connected and reliable mobility ecosystem. The session focuses on three key themes shaping the future of traffic information: TISGRADE and the RTTI Taskforce: how authorities and service providers are aligning road classification, operational data flows and data quality levels, Dutch Roadworks Taskforce: a coordinated effort to improve the reliability, consistency, and timeliness of roadworks data for road users, Brenner Corridor: ASFINAG introduced motorway exit bans for through-traffic to reduce cut-through traffic in case of traffic jams ánd advices road users to turn off their navigation. How can we prevent such measures in the future? This case highlights the importance of collaboration between public and private authorities to provide safe and efficient mobility.
