Building on 5GAA’s 2025 Special Interest Session in Seville on the use of vehicle data for road operations and safety, this session will explore the next step: how connected and cooperative vehicle technologies are moving from data-driven pilots to large-scale CCAM and (C-)ITS deployment across Europe.

Speakers from the automotive and telecom sectors — alongside European policymakers — will showcase how cooperation across industries is turning connectivity into tangible societal benefits, from safer roads to more efficient transport networks.

The discussion will feature practical examples such as Safety-Related Traffic Information (SRTI) and Vulnerable Road User (VRU) protection, highlighting how these applications are being integrated into wider safety frameworks, including Euro NCAP’s roadmap.

The panel will also examine how advanced connectivity is enabling new mobility services — such as next-generation eCall and V2X-enabled tolling and payments — that make transport more user-centred, efficient, and responsive to citizens’ needs.
